Are emotions real even though we cannot see them?

Yes, emotions are real. They are a bona fide entity, part of our innermost being or personality. We know they are there, yet we can never see them. They make us cry, laugh, be happy, or sad, and are just as invisible as the will.

Les explains that emotions are part of the invisible realm of the human personality, alongside the mind and will. Though unseen, they are a bona fide entity, known to exist, and they make us cry, laugh, be happy, or sad. He compares this to the will, which is also invisible. These three aspects of our innermost being—mind, will, and emotion—constitute the personality, the real you and me. Les further teaches that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit each have mind, will, and emotion. Humanity was created in God's image in that area of personhood. When God created Adam, He gave him that invisible personality and placed within him a spirit concept to connect Adam with his Creator for total fellowship.
