Was Barnabas also carried away by the hypocrisy at Antioch?
Yes. The context states that even Barnabas, who had witnessed what Paul was accomplishing among the Gentiles, was carried away with the dissimulation or hypocrisy, so that they could not eat with the Gentiles. Other Jews also dissembled or withdrew with Peter because of what he did.
Les teaches that Peter, as an ordinary practicing Jew, blew his testimony again in a moment of weakness among Gentile believers, and Paul had to call him on it. Because of Peter's action, other Jews dissembled or withdrew likewise with him. This extended even to Barnabas, who had seen everything Paul was accomplishing among the Gentiles, yet even he was carried away with their dissimulation or hypocrisy, so they could not eat with these Gentiles. Then verse 14 follows.
And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
