What did the Holy Spirit move Barnabas to do when he saw the Gentile influx in the Antioch assembly?
When Gentiles flowed into the Antioch assembly, the Holy Spirit moved Barnabas to go up to Tarsus and search for Saul. Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek him, because Saul possessed the message for Gentiles, and after finding him he brought him back to Antioch.
Les explains that when Barnabas saw the sudden influx of Gentiles into the assembly at Antioch, the Holy Spirit moved him to go looking for Saul. Barnabas was moved to go up into Tarsus, the city in the river valley of Cilicia, for the distinct purpose of finding Saul. Saul had now had three years of revelations that no one else had, and he had the message for Gentiles. When Barnabas found him, he brought him to Antioch.
