Why did no one among the early believers lack in Acts 4?

No one among them lacked because believers who owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds to the apostles. The apostles, as the leadership, were in control and distributed the money to every person, including the many visiting Jews staying in Jerusalem, so needs were met.

Les explains that the early believers in Jerusalem had no lack because those who possessed lands or houses sold them and brought the prices of the things that were sold. They laid the money at the apostles' feet. The apostles were in control; they were the leadership. Distribution was made unto every man among the thousands of Jews who had come from every nation under heaven and were now staying in Jerusalem, waiting for the King they thought would come at any moment. Barnabas, a Levite from Cyprus, is given as an example: he sold his land, brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet. Even Barnabas, a good man probably coming up in the leadership, laid every penny of what he had gotten for his sold real estate at the apostles' feet. The result was that no one among them lacked.
