According to Psalm 2, what is the sequence of events after Christ's crucifixion?

According to Psalm 2, after Christ's crucifixion and ascension, the next event is God's wrath and vexation—the seven-year tribulation. Then Christ will return and set up His Kingdom on the holy hill of Zion. The church age is not revealed in the Old Testament prophetic program.

Les explains that there is a definitive time element between Christ's crucifixion and the next event in the Old Testament prophetic program, and it is not a pretty picture. That next event is the wrath of God, as He will vex the nations of the world, and Israel in particular, in His sore displeasure—that is the tribulation. Yet the psalmist also writes, "I have set my King upon the holy hill of Zion," which is the Kingdom. So after Christ's crucifixion and ascension, according to Psalm 2, the sequence is the wrath and vexation of the seven-year tribulation, and then Christ will come and set up His Kingdom. Les notes that what is missing from this Old Testament timeline is the church age; there is not a word in the Old Testament about the church age.
