How far did Jesus descend from the Godhead?

He descended from the exalted Godhead to become a slave, taking the form of a servant, made in the likeness of men, with absolutely nothing of this world's goods, nothing more than a human being like the rest of us.

Les teaches that as the God of creation who owns everything, Christ made Himself of no reputation and took the form of a servant, which better means slave. A slave in antiquity had no material goods; his life was worthless, like the rowers in ships who rowed until death and were thrown overboard. Jesus took Himself to that depth, becoming a slave with nothing of this world's goods. From the exalted area of the Godhead, He came down to be nothing more than a human being like the rest of us. Les acknowledges this is beyond human comprehension but declares it is what the Word says.
