Did Jesus ever stop being God?
No. He never stopped being God. He was just as much God in the womb as after birth, and all the way through His earthly experience. His deity remained under control; He did not let it overtake His humanity in circumstances that would benefit Him. He remained the eternal Alpha and Omega.
Les explains that his own idea is that Jesus never stopped being God. He was just as much God in the womb as He was after He was born and all the rest of the way through His earthly experience. His deity was under control: when the baby Jesus played with other children, He did not exert His deity or lord it over them, though being God even in a child’s body He was still able to be in control and acted like an ordinary child. Even in His earthly ministry He never let His deity overtake His humanity under circumstances that would have benefited Him; He kept them separate. When He was deity, He was deity; when He was man, He was man. He was Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and never stopped being the eternal God.
