Why did God send the Messiah in relation to Israel and the Gentiles?
God sent the Messiah so that Israel, who had been given the covenant promises, law, priesthood, and knowledge of Jehovah, could carry that knowledge to pagan Gentiles. However, before Israel could fulfill that purpose, the nation rejected everything and crucified their Messiah.
Les explains the timeline beginning with Genesis 12 and the call of Abraham, when God pulled the nation of Israel out of the river of humanity and promised them the covenant promises. He gave them the law, the priesthood, and the civil law, making them a nation that had the very mind of God expressed in their national behavior and understanding of the Spirit. Then one day God sent the Messiah, with the idea that Israel could take the knowledge of Jehovah God to the pagan Gentiles. But before they got that far, they rejected everything and crucified their Messiah.
