Les Feldick Bible Study

What did God give Israel and what made them a nation with the mind of God?

God gave Israel the covenant promises, the law, the priesthood, and the civil law. He pulled them out of the river of humanity, and those gifts made Israel a nation whose national behavior and understanding of the Spirit expressed the very mind of God.

Les teaches that, beginning with Genesis 12 and the call of Abraham, God pulled the nation of Israel out of the river of humanity and promised them all the covenant promises. He gave them the law, the priesthood, and the civil law. In other words, Israel became a nation that had the very mind of God expressed in their national behavior and in their understanding of the Spirit. Later, God sent the Messiah with the idea that Israel could take the knowledge of Jehovah God to the pagan Gentiles, but before they got that far, they rejected everything and crucified their Messiah.
