What did God give the nation of Israel, and what did it produce in them?

God gave Israel the covenant promises, the Law, the priesthood, the civil law, and eventually the Messiah. This produced a nation whose national behavior and understanding reflected the very mind of God; nevertheless, they rejected everything and crucified their Messiah.

Les teaches that beginning with Genesis 12 and the call of Abraham, God pulled the nation of Israel out of the river of humanity and promised them all the covenant promises. He gave them the law, the priesthood, and the civil law, so that they became a nation having the very mind of God expressed in their national behavior and in their understanding of the Spirit. God then sent the Messiah, intending that Israel could take the knowledge of Jehovah God to the pagan Gentiles. But before they got that far, Israel rejected everything and crucified their Messiah.
