Are Christians saved to sit or saved to serve?

Christians are not saved to sit; they are saved to serve. Salvation is a gift of God, but once received, God logically expects believers to go to work and work for reward. Every believer has a gift, and rewards come from what they have done in the body during this earthly sojourn.

Les explains that salvation is a gift of God, but once we become recipients of that gift, God logically expects us to go to work and work for reward. He states plainly that we are not saved to sit but saved to serve, and this will be brought about at the behemoth seat of Christ. He also distinguishes rewards from crowns, saying the crowns—such as the crown of righteousness and the crown of life—should not be confused with rewards. Rewards are what believers receive as a result of the things done in the body during this earthly sojourn. Not everyone has the same gift or works in the same area, but every believer has something God has given that can be used as a gift and can precipitate rewards.
