Les Feldick Bible Study

Should believers serve for reward or for salvation?

Believers should serve for reward, not for salvation. Salvation cannot be earned, but rewards are biblical and are based on the believer’s Christian walk and faithfulness in this life. Those rewards will primarily come to fruition in the Kingdom economy, where believers rule and reign with Christ.

Les teaches that reward is a biblical concept, even though some dislike it. He explains that reward is based on the Christian walk in this life on earth, and its fruition primarily comes in the Kingdom economy when the Kingdom comes on the earth, when Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. As believers rule and reign with Him, their level of responsibility is based on their faithfulness here. Therefore, it behooves believers to labor, work, and serve for reward, not for salvation, because salvation cannot be earned. He also notes most people would rather be active than sitting on the sideline.
