Do Christians need to serve God only on weekends or every day alike?

Believers are not required to restrict service to weekends or treat one day as holier than another. Paul teaches in Romans 13 that every day is to be regarded alike. Sunday is not established in Scripture as a special holy day above the other six days. Believers are to serve God equally Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday.

Les explains that the book says nothing about practicing a system of worship in this age of grace; Christ nailed all that to His cross, and believers are now free (s182–s185). He points to Paul in Romans 13: don’t regard one day higher than another, but regard every day alike (s186–s191). Sunday is not taught in Scripture as a special holy day above the other six days (s192–s205). Paul speaks of bringing offerings on the first day of the week, resurrection day, but that does not set Sunday up as a holy day (s195–s205). Every day is alike for the believer; we are to serve God just as much Monday through Friday as Saturday and Sunday (s206–s209). This has all been nailed to His cross (s210–s211). Les also notes Galatians 4, where Paul wrote because Judaizers were convincing Gentiles they had to keep the Law to experience salvation; he admonished them not to become legalists, and legalism still appears today because people like to satisfy their ego (s212–s228).
