Les Feldick Bible Study

What is the difference between seeing Christ from the outside and knowing Him as a believer?

From the outside, Christ has no beauty that one should behold Him. But once a person becomes involved in Christ, He becomes everything—beautiful and all that He is—and only the believer can understand this. The tent illustrates it: outsiders saw no beauty; the priests experienced it only by coming inside.

Les explains that from the outside, Christ hath no beauty that we should behold Him, but once we become involved in Christ, He is everything and beautiful. Only the believer can understand all that He is. Les compares this to the tabernacle: the fine twined linen was woven with blue, purple, and scarlet and had the likenesses of cherubims through it, showing beauty inside. Yet those coming into the tent would not see or experience that beauty until the priests came inside.
