Who was the law given to and does it apply to everyone?
The law was specifically given to Israel, the people who were under the law, as shown in Exodus 20 and Romans 3. Yet it is not limited to Israel alone: all the world is brought under its guilt, and the law still has control over the whole human race.
Les teaches from Exodus 20 that the law came after Elohim, the almighty God over everything, and Jehovah God, who was intrinsically involved with Israel. He explains that the law was specifically given to those under the law, Israel, but Paul says in the same breath that all the world might be brought under its guilt. So although the law was given to Israel, Les says it still has control over the whole human race.
