How is the protection of the Jewish remnant during the tribulation like Israel in Goshen?

The Jewish remnant is divinely protected in a designated wilderness place during the final three and a half years, just as Israel in Goshen was insulated from the plagues while judgment fell on Egypt. God sovereignly nourishes and shields them, paralleling His care for Israel in the wilderness with manna and water.

Les explains that the escaping remnant of Jews, pictured as the woman, receives two wings of a great eagle to fly into the wilderness to a place designated by a sovereign God. There she is nourished for time, times, and half a time—three and a half years—protected from the serpent. Les connects Exodus and Revelation: just as Israel was isolated in Goshen from the plagues after the third plague, with a line between Egypt and Israel so none of the plagues entered Goshen, so also the ravages of the tribulation will tear all around the world, but the remnant is insulated and providentially protected.
