What must we believe about the nature of Christ's resurrection?
We must believe that Christ rose physically, literally, and spiritually from the dead—every way it can be understood—and that He is alive evermore. Scripture treats the resurrection as fundamental to faith; rejecting any part of it leaves a person as lost as if they believed none of it.
Les teaches that if we are dead with Christ by identification with His crucifixion, we believe we shall also live with Him, and that is why the resurrection is fundamental to our faith. He notes some can preach Christ's earthly ministry and crucifixion but have trouble with the resurrection. According to Scripture, if they cannot believe all of it, they are as lost as if they believed none of it. We have to believe Christ rose physically, literally, spiritually, every which way, from the dead, and He is alive evermore. Christ died unto sin once to rid us of old Adam, once for all, satisfying for all eternity.
