If there is no resurrection from the dead, what does that mean about Christ?

Paul argues that if there is no resurrection from the dead—no life after death—then Christ is not risen. If Christ is not risen, then preaching is vain and faith is also vain, making Christian faithfulness foolish and a waste of time.

Les explains that Paul likely encountered Sadducees in Corinth, since the Sadducees never believed in resurrection from the dead and rejected it as foolishness. Paul says some in Corinth were saying there is no resurrection. If that were true, then Christ is not risen; and if Christ is not risen, preaching is vain and faith is vain. Les adds that faithful churchgoing and Christian activity would then be foolish, a waste of time, because there is no life after death.
