How did God bring about Israel's redemption at the Red Sea?
God brought about Israel’s redemption at the Red Sea by exercising His own power. Israel could not construct a pontoon bridge or requisition ships and boats to cross; they had to wait on the power of God to deliver them.
In the Exodus account, this is the third step. God had to bring about their redemption by exercising His power. Israel was not going to be able to throw up a pontoon bridge, nor requisition ships and boats and go across the Red Sea. They were going to have to wait on the power of God. Les explains that for us, the power of our salvation is epitomized, brought to its crescendo, at the resurrection. It is the power of the resurrection of Christ that makes our salvation possible; otherwise, Scripture says, we are yet dead in our sins.
