Are we safe and secure if we are under the blood of Christ?
Yes, Scripture indicates that those under the blood are safe and secure, just as the Jews in Goshen with blood on their door were safe. This security rests not on personal goodness or merit, but on the blood applied by faith. It does not give license to sin.
Les teaches that the Israelites in Goshen had nothing to worry about or fear. They were absolutely secure, not because of anything they had earned or their goodness, but because of the blood on the door. That was an act of faith. If they had refused and scoffed, they would not have been safe and would have lost their firstborn. Scripture gives no indication that any Jews were lost; evidently every Jewish household in Goshen had the blood on the door and was safe. Likewise, if we are under the blood, we are safe and secure, just as those Jews were. Les qualifies that this does not give us license. They were sinners just like we are, yet the blood applied made them totally safe and secure. He notes he will go into Romans and Ephesians and show that the exodus from Egypt was God's redemption of the nation.
