What happens when we come under the blood of Christ?
When we come under the blood of Christ, we are passed over from any judgment. Christ, as our Passover, shed His blood on the Roman cross, and that blood covers us, just as the blood on Israel's doorposts secured them from the death angel. We have nothing to fear.
Les explains that Paul brings the Passover picture all the way up to the church age. In Egypt, the Jews were told that if they would kill the sacrificial lamb and place the blood on the two doorposts and the lintel, then at midnight the death angel would go over Egypt and kill every firstborn male. But Israel, huddled in their small huts, did not need to fear the death angel if they were people of faith, because the blood was on the door and they were covered and secure. Les teaches that even as Christ died on the Roman cross, His blood was shed, and when we come under that blood, we are passed over from any judgment. That is the crucial point: the blood.
