What does a believer value more than life on earth?
The prospect of being suddenly in the realms of glory—the imminent return of the Lord and resurrection into a new body—outweighs earthly life for a believer. This hope rests on God's Word and requires faith, yet it is an exciting prospect because Scripture declares it will surely happen.
Les explains that he genuinely enjoys life on earth—driving across pastures, looking at cattle, mowing hay all day, and loving every minute even when dog tired. Yet he loves more the thought that maybe today or tonight he will suddenly be in the realms of glory. That prospect takes faith, especially believing that millions will suddenly disappear at the Lord's coming; scoffers question it, but for believers it is exciting. Les says it could happen before this day, year, or century is over, and it will happen because the Word declares it. Paul then says that if this body returns to the earth, in resurrection it will be clothed with a new body like His body from heaven.
