What happens to the body of a believer in the resurrection?
Paul says that when this body goes back to the earth, one day in resurrection it will be clothed with a new body, fashioned like unto His body, which is from heaven. Being clothed, the believer shall not be found naked.
Les explains that while he enjoys life—driving across pastures, looking at cattle, mowing hay—he loves more the thought that maybe today or tonight he will suddenly be in the realms of glory. He acknowledges it takes faith to believe there will be a sudden disappearance of millions of people, and scoffers ask how anyone can believe such things. But for believers it is an exciting prospect, and it is going to happen because the Word declares it. Paul says that if this body does go back to the earth, one day in resurrection it will be clothed with a new body, fashioned like unto His body from heaven. Then verse 3 adds, "if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked."
