What parallel does Les draw between Moses at Sinai and Paul at Mount Sinai in Arabia?
The parallel is that Moses received the law at Sinai and gave it to Israel, while roughly 1,567 years later Saul of Tarsus received revelation at that same Mount Sinai in Arabia. Yet the contrast is that Saul received not tables of stone but the revelation of the mysteries.
Les teaches that Moses came down the mountain with the law, and God gave the law to Moses, who then gave it to Israel. About 1,567 years later, God does much the same thing yet totally different: He places Saul of Tarsus down at that same Mount Sinai in Arabia and gives him not the tables of stone but the revelation of the mysteries. He does not tell him to go back to Jerusalem and give it to Israel. The context then moves to Ephesians 3, where Paul prays for Gentile believers, bowing his knees, and this prayer is still valid for us.
