Why does Les believe Paul spent the entire three years alone with the Lord at Mount Sinai?
The entire three years were spent alone with the Lord at Mount Sinai because the Lord dealt with this man personally in the desert, and that experience became so embedded in his makeup that he could do nothing less than press on despite trials and tribulations.
Les teaches that there is a difference of opinion among Bible scholars and theologians about whether the whole three years were spent at Sinai, or only a portion there followed by a return to Damascus until the three years ended and ministry began. Les believes the Lord took the whole three years to deal with this man all by Himself down in the desert at Mount Sinai. When you understand all the trials and tribulations this man went through, most men would have given up long ago, yet he always kept pressing on. Les concludes this three-year experience was so embedded in the man's makeup that he could do nothing less.
