Will God ever compromise the plan of salvation and let someone in another way?

No, God will not compromise the plan of salvation or permit anyone to enter by another way. He has made salvation simple and plain, and He will not let anyone slip in a side door. Cain rationalized and did not believe what God said; likewise, conniving around the gospel will not be accepted.

Les explains that God is not a compromiser. Because God has made the plan of salvation so simple and plain, He is not going to let someone slip in a side door and say, “well, I thought.” Cain is the classic illustration: Abel did exactly what God said, believed what God said, and acted on it, but Cain rationalized. Cain thought that if he came with all his effort, God would accept him, but God did not, because he did not believe what God said. It is the same today: if people try to connive around this simple gospel, Les does not believe God will accept them. He acknowledges he does not know hearts, but he goes by what the Book says—that this is the gospel by which people are saved: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture, not as an afterthought, but in the preordained plan of the ages.
