Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens when someone's heart turns to the Lord?

The veil is taken away. The Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty—not the heavy hand of legalism but freedom. Every believer has this liberty to search the Scriptures and come to their own conclusions.

Les explains that when the heart turns to the LORD, believing Paul's Gospel, the veil is taken away. He emphasizes that the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty—not the heavy hand of legalism, but liberty. Every believer has that liberty, the wherewithal to search the Scriptures and come to their own conclusions. Les doesn't mind if people write or call saying they disagree, because believers have that liberty, but they must do it on the basis of the Book. He also notes verse 18, that believers with open face beholding the glory of the Lord are changed, the same Greek word as the transfiguration, and every believer has experienced that already.

2 Corinthians 3:16

Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
