Who anoints believers in Christ?
God Himself anoints believers in Christ. Scripture says the one who establishes us with you in Christ and anoints us is God, who also seals us and gives the earnest, or the down payment, of the Spirit in our hearts.
Les explains that the one who establishes believers with Paul in Christ and anoints them in that position is God Himself. God also seals believers and gives the earnest, or down payment, of the Spirit in their hearts. Les notes this is a perfect parallel to Ephesians chapter 1, which deals with our position in the Body of Christ as believers.
2 Corinthians 1:21
