Who places a person into the Body of Christ?

Les explains that no one should judge whether another person is a believer, because only God can see the heart. Salvation may come to a person at some future date, and judging someone as going to hell is God’s prerogative, not ours. He notes that many bonafide church members are not members of the Body of Christ, because only the Lord Himself places a person into the Body of Christ. A denomination cannot do it, a preacher cannot do it, and a priest cannot do it; only the Spirit of God can do it. The purpose of all God has been doing on behalf of the church is to edify the Body of Christ, the true believers. This includes prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, until all come into the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God unto a mature man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
