How much time passed between 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians?

Paul's second letter to the Corinthians was probably written a matter of months, at least less than a year, after the first letter. That interval gave the Corinthians enough time to address the problems Paul had confronted, so the second letter reflects that many of those issues had been corrected.

Les explains that the second letter was probably written a matter of months, at least less than a year, after the first letter. That elapsed time was enough for the Corinthians to clean up their act and deal with the issues Paul had addressed, and evidently they had done so. The first letter did not fall on deaf ears. In 2 Corinthians, Paul indicates many of those problems were now corrected. The whole first part of 2 Corinthians, up to verse 10 of chapter 6, deals largely with Paul's defense of his apostleship.
