What does the grace of God teach believers to deny?

The grace of God that brings salvation teaches believers to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. It instructs them to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, rejecting sinful desires and looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus Christ.

Les explains from Titus 2:11-12 that the grace of God has appeared to all men, so no one will be able to say they never heard. This same grace teaches believers to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. Instead, they should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, right now in everyday experience. While going through the workaday week, believers are to be looking for that blessed hope—the glorious appearing of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ, not the Second Coming. Les also notes this verse gives deity to Christ.
