Will Jesus return in the same way He ascended?
Yes. Acts 1 records that while the disciples beheld, He was taken up and a cloud received Him out of their sight. Two men in white apparel declared that this same Jesus, taken up into heaven, shall come in like manner as they saw Him go.
Les teaches that this same Jesus, the physical, spiritual Jesus who was taken up from them into heaven, shall come in like manner as they saw Him go. The ascension took place on the Mount of Olives with the eleven after His 40 days of resurrection experience. His resurrection body was physical, flesh and bone; they walked with Him, talked with Him, ate with Him, and felt and saw His wounds. A cloud received Him out of their sight, and two men in white apparel announced His return. Les adds a lighter illustration: He went head first, and He is going to come back feet first.
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
