Will the same Jesus who went to heaven come back?
Yes. The same Jesus who ascended bodily, visibly, and physically will return in the same manner. Two angels told the eleven disciples that this same Jesus, who they had seen go, would come back. His second coming is literal, physical, and future, not merely symbolic or spiritual.
Les explains that Jesus is physically, literally going to return to this planet. Though many scoff at His second coming, all Scripture is full of it, in type as well as in a literal sense. In this account, Jesus had been standing, talking, and being touched by the disciples; His body was real, and then it ascended. Two angels appearing as men to the eleven disciples announced that the same Jesus would come back in the same way they saw Him go—bodily, visibly, physically. Les then points to Old Testament prophecy, including Zechariah 14, where the day of the Lord comes and all nations are gathered against Jerusalem.
