What kind of body goes into the grave?
The body placed in the grave is the old physical body of corruption—flesh and blood that is already corrupt, prone to disease and failure. It cannot inherit God’s kingdom, and it is buried as corruption; resurrection later brings a new body fashioned after Christ’s resurrected body.
Les explains that the body buried is not a spiritual body like Christ’s resurrected body, which would not be put back in the tomb. What goes into the grave is the old physical body, already corrupt, prone to disease and failures of one sort or another. It is that body of corruption that is buried and placed in the ground. But when it comes out in resurrection power, it will be a new body, fashioned after Christ’s body. This fits Paul’s point that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
