Is the Holy Spirit's indwelling now the same as it will be in eternity?
No. Believers are now indwelt by the presence of the Holy Spirit, but not to the degree that will exist in the eternal state. In the eternal state of flesh and bone, the Spirit will actually take over the role that blood now has, because life is in the blood now but will be in the Spirit then.
Les explains that even now believers are indwelt by the presence of the Holy Spirit, but not to the degree that will be true in the eternal state. When we come into the eternal state of flesh and bone, the Spirit will actually take over the role that the blood now has. In this physical existence, life is in the blood, and in the eternal existence, life is going to be in the Spirit. This teaching comes out of 1 Corinthians 15, the very letter written to carnal believers.
