What is unique to Christianity regarding resurrection?

Christianity is unique because resurrection is the very basis of its beliefs, while practically no other religion centers on it. At the core of everything the Bible teaches is the doctrine of resurrection: this life does not end at the grave, and believers enjoy eternal life through a Biblical resurrection, not mere revival.

Les teaches that this whole chapter deals with resurrection. He stresses that practically no other religion on the planet has resurrection as the very basis of its beliefs. This is unique to Christianity: at the very core of everything we believe and everything the Bible teaches is the doctrine of resurrection. That means this life does not end at the grave; there is life for eternity, and the only way believers can enjoy that eternal existence is to experience a Biblical resurrection. Les also distinguishes resurrection from someone being brought back to life, such as the widow's son and Lazarus, who were only called back from the dead and died again. Resurrection began with the Lord Jesus Himself; He was the first to ever be resurrected, died and arose never to die again, for all eternity. That same eternal life is what we experience the moment we believe the Gospel.
