Les Feldick Bible Study

Do most people ever stop to think about eternity?

The vast majority never pause even briefly to consider eternity. They do not want to hear about it, keeping their heads in the sand and wanting to be left alone. As long as their bank account, car, and home are fine, they feel no concern, though eternity is coming regardless.

Les explains that even in the Bible Belt, people day in and day out never stop even for five seconds to think about eternity. They don't want to think about it; they have their head in the sand and don't want to pull it out. They just want to be left alone. As long as the checking account is healthy, they're driving a nice car, and have a nice home, they ask, who cares about eternity? But they'd better, because it's out there and they'll be there one way or another. No bank account will help them escape it. Les also notes a young man working in a large bank saw technology moving toward the end-time scenario, but his coworkers didn't want to listen, which is typical of most people.
