Why do people not think about eternity?
People do not think about eternity because they look only at what they can enjoy in the here and now. A lifespan may reach about 95 or 100 years, but that is nothing compared with eternity, which is never ending, forever and ever, yet the human race will not consider it.
Les explains that even if someone lives 95 or 100 years, or a few more, that span is brief when compared to eternity. Eternity is never ending, forever and ever, yet the human race will not consider that. Instead, people focus on the immediate question: what can I enjoy in the here and now? This present-life focus keeps eternity out of their thinking, as Les has said over and over.
