What does Daniel 7 show about God the Son in relation to God the Father?

Daniel 7 presents God the Son as the Son of Man who comes with the clouds of heaven to the Ancient of Days, who is God the Father enthroned in supreme authority. The Son is brought near before the Father, showing the Son coming before the Father in distinct relation to Him.

Les explains that Daniel 7 gives the same idea of God the Father on the supreme area of the throne, while God the Son comes before Him. In verse 9 Daniel sees the Ancient of Days seated, with clothing white as snow, hair like pure wool, a fiery throne, and countless angelic hosts ministering before Him. Then in verse 13 Daniel sees one like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven to the Ancient of Days and being brought near before Him.

Daniel 7:9

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Daniel 7:13

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
