How is the Body of Christ the complement and fullness of Christ, like Eve was for Adam?

The Body of Christ is Christ's complement and fullness, using the same word used of Eve when God presented her to Adam as his complement and helpmeet. Members are therefore not saved merely to escape hellfire, but brought into a glorious position and relationship with Christ Himself, received by faith.

Les teaches that the Body of Christ, the members of the Body of Christ, are the complement and fullness of Christ. He connects this to the same word used concerning Eve when God presented her to Adam, that she might be the complement, the helpmeet of the man. This, he says, is beyond human understanding, but we take it by faith as our glorious position as members of the Body of Christ. He contrasts this with the average believer who thinks he is saved only to escape hellfire. Instead, we are saved to come into a tremendous relationship with Christ Himself. He also stresses that salvation is by believing and putting faith in what God has said, not by repenting, baptism, joining the church, or walking the aisle, though those things have their rightful place.

Ephesians 1:23

Genesis 2:18

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
