What happens after the tribulation is consummated according to 1 Corinthians 15:25?

According to 1 Corinthians 15:25, after the tribulation is consummated, the King comes and sets up His Kingdom. Israel will enjoy all covenant promises, including territory extending to the Euphrates River, restored like the Garden of Eden. All the earth will come under Christ’s rule and reign, and then He defeats the final enemy, death.

Les explains that the preceding context shows the devil cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and false prophet are tormented day and night forever, with the judgment of the lost still to come. Then, returning to 1 Corinthians 15:25, he says that after the consummation of the tribulation, the King comes and sets up His Kingdom. Israel will finally enjoy all the covenant promises, with territory reaching clear out to the Euphrates River—not desert sand but like the Garden of Eden—and all the earth will come under Christ’s rule and reign. After He has shown His authority and power, He must defeat the final enemy, death. All these things must be consummated so Christ can bring the epitome of understanding, even to believers and the angelic hosts, of who He is.

1 Corinthians 15:25

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
