What happens to the church after the rapture and before the tribulation?
After the rapture, the church is in the presence of the Lord in its resurrected state. The church is with Christ, not on earth, while the seven-year tribulation takes place. The tribulation is a separate period of God dealing with Israel, and its believers are not members of the body of Christ.
Les teaches that after the church has been raptured, that company of believers is now in the presence of the Lord in their resurrected state. Then the horrors of the seven years of tribulation unfold on earth. During that tribulation, multitudes of people will believe and be martyred, both Jews and many Gentiles. These tribulation believers are not members of the body of Christ; they simply will not be included in the body. Les places them with the Old Testament believers because the tribulation is the time of God dealing with Israel, the temple is operating, and it is primarily a Jewish period of time.
