Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens at the end of the church age before the tribulation begins?

At the close of the church age, the body of Christ is taken out of the scene before the tribulation begins. Once the final Gentile is brought in, the church is removed, Israel is back in the land, and God then deals with Israel during the final seven years.

Les explains that this seven-year period was postponed because Israel did not respond to the offer of the king and the kingdom. In between, God is calling out the body of Christ—the church age, the age of grace. Les says we may be near the end of that period, when the Lord will take it out. Since God did not deal with the church while dealing with Israel, and since He is now dealing primarily with Gentiles while Israel is dispersed, the Gentile body of Christ must be removed before He returns to deal with Israel in the final seven years. As the church age winds down and the final Gentile is brought in, the church is taken out, Israel is back in the land, and the tribulation events follow.
