What happens during the tribulation after the church is raptured?
After the church is raptured, the seven-year tribulation brings horrors, and multitudes—Jews and Gentiles—will believe and be martyred. They are not members of the body of Christ. This period is God dealing with Israel, with the temple operating, and these believers are grouped with Old Testament believers in resurrection.
Les teaches that after the church is raptured and that company of believers is in the Lord's presence in a resurrected state, the horrors of the seven years of tribulation follow. During that tribulation, multitudes of Jews and Gentiles will believe and be martyred. They are not members of the body of Christ and did not miss the rapture; they simply will not be included in the body. Because the tribulation is the time of God dealing with Israel, with the temple operating, and is primarily a Jewish period, Les places these tribulation believers together with the Old Testament believers, including Daniel, in this particular resurrection of this group of just people. He also connects Daniel standing in his lot at the end of the days to the extra 75 days beyond the tribulation.
