Why do believers get in a hurry for the Lord to return?
Believers become impatient when they see the world falling apart and recognize that horrible days lie ahead for the planet. That awareness stirs a longing for the Lord to come quickly. After glimpsing the great resurrection of believers, Daniel is likewise told to be patient and wait.
Les explains that when a believer understands Daniel and gets the picture of the great resurrection of the believers, the tendency is to become impatient: “Let’s hurry up!” He admits he gets that way himself when he sees the world falling apart and sees things implicating horrible days ahead for the planet. A lot of believers, he says, get in a hurry for the Lord to come quickly. So Daniel is told to be patient, wait, and come to the 1,335 days, because God adds an extra 75 days to the end of the Tribulation.
