How soon could the Lord come for believers?
The Lord could come for believers at any moment—perhaps today, tonight, before this day, this year, or even this century ends. God's Word says it will be a sudden disappearance of millions, and though it requires faith to believe, it is certain because the Word declares it.
Les teaches that the exciting prospect is that maybe today or tonight believers will suddenly be in the realms of glory. He acknowledges it takes great faith to believe in the sudden disappearance of millions, and scoffers may question how anyone can believe such things. But for believers it is an exciting prospect: it may happen before this day, this year, or this century is over, and it is getting close. It will happen because the Word declares it. He also notes that if the Lord comes above here, those on the other side of the globe would have to make a circuitous run. Paul then says that if this body goes back to the earth, one day in resurrection it will be clothed with a new body, fashion-like unto His body from heaven, so that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
