Why should believers cry out, "Lord, come quickly"?

Believers cry out for the Lord’s quick return because the world is falling more and more into the evil one’s lap; if He delays, even America will see tremendous changes. They also groan within themselves, awaiting adoption and the redemption of the body, when corruption becomes incorruption and they enter the kingdom.

Les explains that as the world is falling apart and moving into the lap of the evil one, believers cannot help but cry out, “Lord, come quickly,” because if He does not, even America will see tremendous changes. Paul writes that believers who have the firstfruits of the Spirit groan within themselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of the body. The soul and spirit are already redeemed, but the body still awaits being made incorruptible when believers go into the Lord’s presence, receive reward, and later return to participate in the kingdom. Les also points to Colossians 1:12, where the Father has prepared believers to be partakers of the inheritance, since they are already members of the kingdom in heaven that will one day come on earth.
