Where and when did Jesus tell the twelve about His coming death and resurrection in Luke 18?

In Luke 18:31, Jesus took the twelve aside in northern Israel at the headwaters of the Jordan River, at the end of His three years of earthly ministry, just before going down to Jerusalem for the final days before His crucifixion. There He foretold His death and resurrection.

Les teaches from Luke 18:31 that this was the setting at the end of the three years of His earthly ministry. They were up in northern Israel, at the headwaters of the Jordan River, and about to go back down to Jerusalem for the final days before His crucifixion. Jesus took the twelve unto Himself and said, “Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.” He said the Son of man would be delivered to the Gentiles—the Romans—mocked, spitefully entreated, spit on, scourged, put to death, and rise again the third day. Les points out that the twelve heard Him and were listening intently, yet the next verse says they understood none of these things and it was hid from them. Les explains that God hid it because it was not time for them to know, illustrating God’s sovereignty in keeping things secret.
