Why does God want the Word of Christ to dwell in believers richly?
God wants the Word of Christ to dwell richly in believers so they are not ignorant but well taught, well instructed, and grounded in their faith, enabling them to enjoy a joyous life in fellowship with the Lord rather than being miserable.
Les explains that God does not want a bunch of ignorant believers in the Body. He wants every child of His to be well taught, well instructed, grounded, and to enjoy their faith. There is no room for miserable Christians; if they are miserable, they are out of fellowship with the Lord and out in the world where they should not be, but the Christian life is meant to be joyous, and God wants it that way. Letting the Word of Christ dwell richly in all wisdom is how that grounding and joy come.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
