Why should no one judge us regarding food, drink, holy days, or sabbaths?

No one should judge believers in food, drink, holy days, new moons, or sabbaths because the law was satisfied and its handwriting of ordinances against us was blotted out, taken out of the way, and nailed to His cross. Those regulations belong to Judaism and are only a shadow, having been fulfilled and left behind.

Les explains from Colossians 2 that the handwriting of ordinances contrary to us was blotted out and nailed to His cross, and having spoiled principalities and powers, He triumphed over them in His work of the cross. Since the law is satisfied, we are no longer under it, so let no man judge you in meat, drink, holy day, new moon, or sabbath days. These things flash back to Judaism and the Law, which are behind us and have been nailed to His cross. Verse 17 calls them all a shadow.
